BLACKBURN Rovers goalkeeper Paul Robinson has missed out on a place in England's provisional 30-man squad for the World Cup.

As expected, Fabio Capello has to opted to select Robert Green, David James and Joe Hart as his three goalkeepers for the tournament.

Former Rovers player Stephen Warnock has been included and may compete with Leighton Baines for a place in the final 23-man squad.

Kamie Carragher and Ledley King are the shock call-ups – but there is no place for Manchester United’s Owen Hargreaves.

Neither Carragher nor King has played a game for the Three Lions under Capello, although the Tottenham man was called into the squad for a double header against Slovakia and the Ukraine last year, only to be ditched a couple of days later on fitness grounds.

West Ham’s Scott Parker is included in a midfield also containing Joe Cole.

Manchester City’s Adam Johnson is one of two uncapped players in Capello’s squad, the other being Tottenham defender Michael Dawson.
