Ipswich goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski is still set to move to Championship side Millwall, despite interest from Rovers.

Tony Mowbray has been on the look-out for an experienced goalkeeper with Bialkowski thought to have been among them.

However, it has looked like the Polish international would make a move to the New Den all summer.

The 32-year-old moved to Portman Road in 2014 from Notts County and has become a firm favourite, and fixture in the side, playing 178 times.

But he has looked set for pastures new since the Tractor Boys were relegated to League One last season, with the club already having brought in goalkeeper Tomas Holy from Gillingham.

The move to Millwall was originally meant to be permanent, with the East Anglian Daily Times reporting that a fee of £900,000 and wages had been agreed.

However, concerns over a knee injury were then flagged up at the medical and the move was off, only to be resurrected in the forms of a loan move.

That will in turn see Millwall striker Tom Elliott move to Portman Road.

However, reports late on Monday night suggested a swap deal involving Bialkowski and Joe Nuttall had been discussed.

But it appears the ‘keeper will still make the switch to Millwall, with Nuttall’s future still undecided, with a host of League One clubs interested in the 22-year-old in both permanent and loan moves.

Rovers rejected a six-figure fee for Nuttall in January, but he has moved down the pecking order since then following the arrival of Sam Gallagher.

He scored twice in the Championship last season, against Millwall and Ipswich in January, and Rovers' failure to bring in a new striker saw him remain at Ewood Park.

Rovers’ search for a ‘keeper goes on, with Mowbray still in the market to add to his ranks to compete with loan signing Christian Walton and Jayson Leutwiler who finished last season as No.1.
