TONY Mowbray has no real concerns over the three injured players who missed Rovers' opening pre-season friendly.
Amari'i Bell, Derrick Williams and Harry Chapman did not feature in the 2-1 win at National League side Barrow on Saturday.
Mowbray however played down any concerns about the trio with the whole squad beging carefully managed in the run-up to the new Championship season getting under way against Charlton on August 3.
The Rovers boss said that rather than any serious injury issues, it was a case of not risking players unnecessarily in friendlies.
"All of those three were injured and couldn't play on Saturday," said Mowbray.
"There's no real concerns, no big injuries, just knocks and niggles.
"There's no need to take them to Barrow on a dry pitch and risk them getting another knock."
Internationals Charlie Mulgrew, Ryan Nyambe, Corry Evans and Jayson Leutwiler were also not involved at Holker Street having been given more time off that then rest of the squad with their seasons running well into June.
Neither was new signing Bradley Johnson after only one training session with his new team-mates while Stewart Downing only linked up with Rovers yesterday.
The former England winger had a pre-arranged personal commitment and was not with Rovers for their pre-season training camp in Austria.
