Bradley Dack wasn’t part of the Rovers mathcday squad for the game against Stoke City.
The 25-year-old arrived as usual pre-match, but wasn’t included in the Rovers squad when the teams were announced at 2pm.
It comes after reality star Olivia Attwood posted on social media site Instagram that she had split from the Rovers attacker.
She wrote: ‘Just to put any speculation to bed, Brad and I are no longer in a relationship.’
Dack was replaced in the starting line-up by Joe Rothwell, as boss Tony Mowbray also brought in Richie Smallwood and Corry Evans for the game against the Potters.
