Corry Evans has been named in the Northern Ireland squad for their upcoming Euro 2022 qualifiers.
The Rovers midfielder has been called up by boss Michael O’Neill for a home double-header against Estonia and Belarus.
The 28-year-old has been a regular for Rovers this season, having shaken off groin problems which had previously hampered him, and has also played five times for his country.
Evans marked 50 caps in October and scored only his second goal for his country in a defeat to Austria in November.
He has now played 52 caps for his country and will look to be involved in the upcoming games at Windsor Park as they host Estonia on Thursday, March 21 and then Belarus three days later.
Evans will return to Rovers after that match in preparation for the trip to Aston Villa on Saturday, March 30.
The Irish face a tough ask to get out of a group which includes Germany and Netherlands, so know a good start is vital.
O’Neill has named a 27-man squad for the upcoming games.
