Rovers will assess the four players who picked up injuries in the 5-2 defeat at Brentford.

Danny Graham and Bradley Dack picked up injuries in the first half and were substituted in the early stages of the second 45.

Midfielder Corry Evans made it to the hour mark before being replaced, while Darragh Lenihan limped off in the closing stages as Rovers ended the game with 10 men.

Boss Tony Mowbray had named the same team for a third consecutive match and will hope his key quartet will be available for the visit of Bristol City on Saturday.

Speaking after the game, Mowbray said: “It’s too early to say. We’ll assess them on Monday.

“Danny has a sore back, Bradley a sore Achilles, the physio department will tell me early next week whether it’s short term or long term.

“Evans had three or four injuries, he was hobbling around and had to come off.

“Darragh made his own decision really, the game had gone so he came off as well.

“We finished pretty depleted.”

Lewis Travis was another player to receive treatment in the second half after taking a knock to his knee.

Rovers could be handed a boost though with the return to action of captain Charlie Mulgrew who has missed five matches with a hamstring injury.

He has returned to full training and will step up his recovery this week to push his claims for a recall.
