BRADLEY Dack would love to see his close pal Harry Chapman make a Rovers return.

The winger is set to complete a permanent move to Ewood Park today having spent last season on loan with Tony Mowbray's men.

That spell saw the 21-year-old make 16 appearances but he twice suffered hamstring injuries and was mainly used off the bench by Mowbray.

Rovers fans quickly took to the Middlesbrough man, who is out of contract at the Riverside this summer and has made just five appearances for Tony Pulis' side this season, and Dack believes capturing Chapman would be an astute move.

"It would be nice to see Chappy," said Dack. "He is a good character and he gets on with all the boys and first of all he is a great player.

"It would be nice to see him back in the building and hopefully that gets done."

Mowbray revealed that Chapman may well head straight out on loan once he does complete his switch to get game time ahead of fighting for his Rovers spot in the summer.

But should the winger stay with the club for the second half of the season then the competition for places in the forward areas will be quite a battle.

"It is good for the team," Dack said of the scrap for an attacking spot. "Everyone keeps pushing each other and I think you can see that.

"The places are there and it is up to you to keep the shirt so competition is a good thing.

"If you have got someone pushing you then you know you have got to play well to keep the shirt and that is something we have had since I have been here with two players for every position.

"It is nice to have competition and people pushing you in training and in games."

Rovers moved to within three points of the play-offs following a 3-0 win over Hull City on Saturday, a fourth straight success.

And Dack was delighted to keep the momentum going.

He said: "It was a big game, they were just above us in the table and hadn't lost in 10 so we had to be right up for it.

"I think we showed that, especially in the first half when I thought we were brilliant and then in the second half we were really professional so we are absolutely delighted with three points."
