Rovers have announced a new senior management team to forge closer links between the club’s three sites.

The leadership group will meet frequently to discuss and adopt significant strategic objectives for the club and provide key support to the board of directors with immediate effect.

The move is designed to improve links between Rovers’ split sites – Ewood Park, the Senior Training Centre and the Academy – and provide a clearer structure to the football club, in order to ensure stability and growth, both on and off the pitch.

Rovers' Chief Executive Steve Waggott said: “The biggest thing that I have picked up from conversations with supporters, staff and stakeholders, is they want to have stability in the club.

“After a few turbulent years, we now have stability on the field, with Tony Mowbray coming in and committing his long-term future to the club, and that had to be mirrored by a structure off the field as well.

“I wanted to conduct a thorough review of the whole football club – across all three sites – so we have a fully-integrated model and bring in the various components so that there is an understanding right across the business of how administration and football can work together in harmony.

“It was therefore important to bring our commercial and community operations into this initial restructure, as they play a vital role in brand development and building on the success of the on-field activities.

“Because of the diversity of cultures and ethnicities in the area, our award winning Community Trust is a key component for how we're going to develop the club going forward and from a commercial standpoint, we need to ensure that our digital footprint continues to grow.

“I believe we have a coherent team, which covers all of the core pillars of the business. There's a wealth of experience and a lot of knowledge in the different aspects of what we're trying to achieve. That maturity level will be invaluable as we try to go through the gears and get the club back to where it belongs.

“We will develop a vision and a mission statement, and discuss in detail our objectives for the next one to five years. The target, from a footballing perspective, will always be to get to the top level, but we also want to create a solid foundation for the club to work from going forward.”

The Senior Management Team will consist of:

Tony Mowbray - First Team Manager
