There is a recall for Harrison Reed out wide after he was only among the substitutes for Rovers’ FA Cup tie at Newcastle.
The Southampton loanee comes in for Adam Armstrong who is part of a very attack-minded substitutes bench.
Danny Butterworth makes the matchday squad for the just the second time, and first since New Year’s Day 2018.
Derrick Williams didn’t travel with the squad, because of a calf injury, while Paul Downing is left out altogether with speculation over his Rovers future.
Lewis Travis keeps his place in midfield, making his fourth consecutive start, with Richie Smallwood still suspended.
