CHORLEY continue to tick off the games in a closely fought Evo-Stik League Premier Division title race when they host Stocksbridge Park Steels at Victory Park tomorrow.

The Magpies are three points clear of FC United and AFC Fylde at the top of the table and Garry Flitcroft’s side have just four matches remaining.

A quartet of wins will almost certainly secure them the title, despite FC United having a game in hand, such is the strength of Chorley’s goal difference. And Flitcroft will see tomorrow as a chance to improve that against a Steels side that are second bottom in the division and with only two away wins all season.

FC United host Buxton while AFC Fylde are without a game owing to the Coasters taking on Skelmersdale United in the Doodson Sports Cup Final on Sunday.

In Division One North Ramsbottom will bid to continue their push for the play-offs when they host Farsley.

The Rams are currently fourth but still need points to ensure they finish in the top five and will see the visit of seventh place Farsley as an opportunity to improve their own chances while knocking the visitors all but out of the race.

Padiham, not yet safe from relegation, visit Darlington 1883 while Clitheroe are away to Bamber Bridge. In the North West Counties League Premier Division Bacup & Rossendale Borough continue their survival bid when they host St Helens Town.

Brent Peters’ side are only in the bottom two on goal difference and could climb above Alsager Town come Saturday night.

Elsewhere, Colne are on their travels at AFC Liverpool while Barnoldswick Town host Congleton Town.

Division one leaders Nelson are without a game this weekend because opponents 1874 Northwich are in League Challenge Cup semi final action. hallenge Cup Semi Final 2nd Leg AFC Darwen are in action though and Kenny Langford’s side host Oldham Borough.
