Padiham reserves failed to lift the Vodkat League Reserve Division Cup on Monday night when they were beaten 3-1 by Glossop North End.
The home side dominated the opening 45 minutes at their freezing Surrey Street ground and led at the break 2-0 after Art Butorins scored the opener after just 25 seconds before Daniel Jones doubled the lead.
Padiham pulled one back through Nathan Egan on 58 minutes and they went close to a leveller when Egan hit the crossbar.
But Glossop grabbed the clincher when Jones added his second of the night.
