BAMBER Bridge took a big step in their push for securing a play-off place following a 2-0 victory over Clitheroe at Irongate.
Goals in either half from Greg Johnstone and Alistair Waddecar ensured the home side took the three points.
Clitheroe wasted several good chances to take something from an attritional clash in which referee Brian McGill brandished eight yellow cards – four for either side.
