CHORLEY FC are holding a testimonial dinner celebrating Adam Roscoe’s career has been arranged for March 24.

It is being hosted by the Victory Park club and the evening’s entertainment will be headlined by ex-Nottingham Forrest goalkeeper Mark Crossley and comedian Ian ‘Sludge’ Lees.

Roscoe is quite simply, a Magpie legend and it’s hoped everyone in our will join together to celebrate the contribution of someone who truly is one of Chorley’s own.

Manager Matt Jansen said: “Adam is a great example of what can be achieved through hard work and dedication.

“He has now played over 300 appearances and has won numerous trophies during his career, which is a magnificent achievement.

“It goes without saying he is a worthy recipient of a testimonial and I hope many fans can help make the night a success.”

Tickets are £35 each or £300 will buy you a table of 10.

The night will start at 7.30pm and the dress code is lounge suits.

Meanwhile, the club have also announced that the Chorley FC Golf Day will be staged at Pleasington Golf Club.

Pleasington is one of the leading inland courses in the North of England and has even staged Open Championship regional qualifying rounds, county matches and many other prestigious tournaments in recent years.

If you want to join in the action on September 7, you can book your place early because the event is limited to 22 teams of four players comprising men, women or mixed.

There’ll be lots of prizes up for grabs – including a fabulous Nissan Juke car. It has been generously provided for the sixth time by the Magpies main club sponsor the Chorley Group who will hand the keys to the first player to ace the par three 16th hole.
