BURNLEY expect Chris McCann, Kevin McDonald and Christian Kalvenes and new boy Danny Fox to shrug off injuries in time for Saturday’s home game against West Ham.

McCann sustained a knee injury in last week’s loss at Bolton – in only his second game back from a more serious knee problem - and missed the Clarets’ 2-1 home defeat to Chelsea at the weekend as a result.

McDonald and Kalvenes both limped off during that match but all three are expected to be available for the important clash with fellow strugglers West Ham, while Fox could make his debut after signing from Scottish giants Glasgow Celtic.

The 23-year-old left back has not played since representing Celtic against Rangers in early January but has returned to training this week after a groin problem.

Graham Alexander, though, could miss out again on Saturday after picking up a calf strain at Bolton.

“Kevin McDonald, Chris McCann and Christian Kalvenes are looking like they will be available, which will be a boost,” said boss Brian Laws.

“Danny Fox had a bit of a groin problem but it was not too serious and he’s had a couple of training sessions now. We’re very confident he will be ready “Graham Alexander is still struggling a bit, though, and might have a way to go.”
