Burnley have announced their final pre-season friendly.

The Clarets will round off their pre-season preparations with a game against Serie A side Parma at Turf Moor on Saturday, August 3.

The game against the Italians will come seven days before the start of the new Premier League season.

Parma finished 14th in their table last season having returned to the top flight impressively in recent seasons.

Financial problems saw the club re-form in 2015 and drop down to Serie D, only for three successive promotions to follow.

Parma won the then UEFA Cup in 1995 and 1999 and have also lifted the Italian Cup three times.

The game represents the final piece in the pre-season jigsaw with the players returning to training next week.
