BURNLEY - 1

LEICESTER CITY - 2

BURNLEY were beaten by a 90th minute Wes Morgan goal as 10-man Leicester took all three points at Turf Moor.

Leicester took the leaf through James Maddison in the first half, but Burnley quickly levelled though Dwight McNeil.

Up stepped Morgan to head his side in front after being penned back all second half. It was a sickening blow for the Clarets.

There was drama in the early stages as Johann Berg Gudmundsson raced through on goal.

England defender Maguire brought the winger down and was shown a straight red card as he was the last man back.

The Iceland winger took the following free kick and it forced a good save from Kasper Schmeichel.

Burnley were in the ascendancy following the sending off and Chris Wood almost found his way on to a stray ball in the box.

A brilliant Wilfred Ndidi interception prevented the New Zealander from putting his side one up.

Despite Leicester being down to 10-men, they posed a threat to the Clarets defence whenever they ventured forward.

The pace of Harvey Barnes and Jamie Vardy was a problem for Burnley.

Leicester took the lead through Maddison in the 33rd minute. The England man was fouled on the edge of the box by James Tarkowski.

Maddison stepped up and curled one beautifully over the wall and in to Tom Heaton's right top corner.

The Clarets were behind for only five minutes as McNeil pulled them level.

The youngster played the ball wide left for Charlie Taylor, he pulled it back and McNeil struck first time across Schmeichel in to the far bottom corner.

Brendan Rodgers' men started the second half brightly as Vardy reminded us all what he could do.

The number nine sat Tarkowski down and looked to pull it back for Barnes. Luckily for Burnley, Ben Mee got something on it and Heaton was able to gather.

Burnley started to push forward 10 minutes in to the half as the two central midfielders - Jack Cork and Ashley Westwood - both had chances.

Cork had the best of the two as Ashley Barnes played it back for him, but he struck his effort over the bar.

With 20 minutes to play, there was a massive appeal for a Burnley penalty as Taylor went down in the box. Referee Michael Oliver gave a goal kick.

In to the final 10 minutes and McNeil was given a tough chance to put his side in front.

Cork whipped a cross in and the 19-year-old fired first time over the bar.

McNeil came close again with five minutes remaining as his curling effort from 30-yards didn't quite curl enough.

In to the final minutes and Morgan got up highest to head in to the bottom corner to send the visiting fans wild behind the goal.
