PETER Crouch will benefit Burnley both on and off the pitch, that's the view of his former teammate Danny Higginbotham.
The 38-year-old joined the Clarets on transfer deadline day from Stoke City and made an immediate impact when he won a penalty after coming off the bench late on against Southampton.
He was an unused sub for Burnley's win over Brighton last time out but will hope to be involved when Sean Dyche's side return to action against Spurs on Saturday lunchtime.
And Higginbotham, who played with Crouch at Southampton and Stoke, feels the frontman has a lot to offer in the Premier League.
"Coming on against Southampton showed the kind of impact he can make," said the former Manchester United defender.
"He is very good at getting the ball down and he can be a very good link.
"He is a fantastic individual and human being.
"It is very important that you have people like that in the dressing room.
"He'll be a great addition, he will give 100 per cent and he can have a laugh but also works hard.
"I think he will do well for Burnley."
