BURNLEY are set to seal a move for Peter Crouch with boss Sean Dyche confident the 38-year-old can still cut it in the Premier League.

The England international will join the Clarets while Sam Vokes moves the other way for a fee in the region of £7million.

Neither deal is yet complete but the switch will be confirmed before the transfer window closes tonight at 11pm.

Burnley will be Crouch's 10th club and the frontman brings a wealth of experience including 108 Premier League goals.

The striker has signed a deal until the end of the season.

“What interests me is motivated players. Michael Duff was one of those for us at 37 and I think Peter Crouch is the same,” said Dyche.

“There’s no issue about his fitness and I think he has an intention and a desire to still make a mark in football.

“We know what a good character he is and he still has that edge. We know he’s an effective footballer and he has a hunger to come here and make a mark.”
