BURNLEY will be without Matt Lowton for the trip to Manchester United on Tuesday while Clarets chief Sean Dyche will make late calls on the fitness of Johann Berg Gudmundsson, Phil Bardsley and Robbie Brady.

The latter came off at half time in the FA Cup defeat to Manchester City on Saturday with a groin injury.

Dyche said: "We are looking at a few fitness situations and if they come back then it gives more of a look to the side that I like.

"We are waiting to find out about Johann, Phil Bardsley and Robbie.

"There are a number of situations that are in the balance now and that was another tough call on Saturday. We had to change the team and the shape because we were limited with bodies and that has been another thing we have had to contend with this season which has been tricky."

On Lowton, Dyche added: "I don't think he will be fit."

Tom Heaton is expected to return in goal after Nick Pope made his second appearance of the season in the cup defeat.
