DERBY County boss Frank Lampard says he has had no contact from Burnley, or anyone else, for young defender Jayden Bogle but admits he wouldn't be surprised if Premier League clubs were looking at the 18-year-old.

The Clarets have been one of the clubs linked with a move for the teenage right back who has broken into the Derby first team this season.

But Lampard, whose side face Southampton in an FA Cup replay on Wednesday night, said the Rams have had no contact.

Asked if he was aware of any interest in Bogle, Lampard said: "No, I am not but I wouldn't be surprised because from the minute I have been here Jayden Bogle has been fantastic.

"I heard he was a talent, and he has shown that he can perform at a top level in the Championship and in our Carabao Cup run at Manchester United and at Chelsea.

"So, of course, people will look at players who are performing that well."
