COLBY Bishop made it two goals in two pre-season games as Stanley completed their build-up to the new campaign with a 2-0 win against Morecambe.
Having scored against Preston North End, the summer arrival from Leamington followed that up with his second goal in a week at Lancashire FA headquarters in Leyland.
Bishop was grateful to a Callum Johnson cross against the Lilywhites and pair linked up once again, as the teacher turned striker headed home the opener.
Sean McConville added the second against Jim Bentley’s League Two side.
Old rivals The Shrimps should have got on the scoresheet themselves but former Stanley loanee John O’Sullivan, a new signing at the Globe Arena, saw his penalty saved by Dimitar Evtimov having been upended by Seamus Conneely.
Stanley’s squad included two tralists as John Coleman continues to look at ways to improve his squad ahead of the League One opener at newly-promoted Lincoln City on Saturday.
