Accrington Stanley have made full back Zaine Francis-Angol their third signing of the summer.
The former Tottenham youngster, last with AFC Fylde in the National League, has signed a one-year contract at the Wham Stadium with the option of a further 12 months.
“It feels good, I’m really looking forward to getting in and meeting the lads and obviously working with the gaffer and I just can’t wait to get started,” said the 26-year-old.
“I’d like to think that I’m solid defensively and enjoy the attacking side of things as well.
“I like overlapping and hopefully adding some assists to the team as well.”
Francis-Angol, who has won 22 caps for Antigua and Barbuda, began his career with Spurs, and spent time with Motherwell and Kidderminster Harriers before joining Fylde in June 2017.
During the 2018/19 season, Francis-Angol helped the Coasters reach Wembley Stadium in both the National League play-off final and the FA Trophy final, winning the latter 1-0 against Leyton Orient having narrowly missed out on promotion with defeat to Salford City.
