JOHN Coleman hailed two-goal heroes Paul Mullin and Andy Procter after Accrington Stanley secured their first home win of the season.

Procter began and ended the comfortable 4-1 triumph over fellow strugglers Grimsby Town to lift the Reds off the bottom, while Mullin grabbed his brace at a crucial time when the Mariners were battling to recover.

"It's smashing that the balls are going in the net," said Coleman, whose side had gone four league games without a goal.

"Andy Procter's at the end was the icing on the cake, and it's lovely for Paul because everyone knows how much I think about him. But after going so long without a goal I think I would have had anyone on the scoresheet, even if they weren't at the club!

"When it went to 2-1 I feared for our confidence but we stood firm and we were determined.

"We've worked hard this week for that."
