ACCRINGTON Stanley new boy Amine Linganzi says he has no regrets about his time at Blackburn Rovers – despite featuring only four times during three years with the club.

Linganzi has joined Stanley until the end of the season after leaving Rovers by mutual consent at the end of January.

The 23-year-old Congo international midfielder had already been training with Leam Richardson’s men and goes into the squad for tomorrow’s home game against Cheltenham, although he is still building up match fitness.

Linganzi was brought to Rovers from French side Saint-Etienne by Sam Allardyce in January 2010 but could not force his way into regular contention at Ewood Park, and also saw a loan spell at Preston cut short by injury.

“I was unlucky because I was injured and after that we changed the manager three times,” he said.

“When the new owners came it was a little bit difficult for me and some other players.

“But it’s okay, I’ve got no regrets about Blackburn Rovers. I was 20 years old, I had a few injuries but mentally I’m stronger than before.

“In England I am enjoying it but today it is not about where I am playing – it can be in France, in Portugal, in Spain.

“It is just about how I play because I didn’t play a lot of games for a long time.

“I’m really pleased to be here with a new team, I’m happy to fight against relegation and I look forward to playing games.

“For me I never doubt, I know what my capacity is, so I just need to enjoy it.”
