DEFENDER Sean St Ledger is happy to put his holiday plans on hold - and not just because of the play-offs.

The 24-year-old scored the winner against Queens Park Rangers to fire North End into the top six, just one goal ahead of Cardiff City.

And with their season now extended by the last-day drama, a trip to swine flu-ridden Mexico has had to be shelved.

“I would much rather be playing in the play-offs than sitting in the sun.

"We have a chance of getting into the Premier League and that's where I want to be,” said the former Peterborough United stopper, who was due to jet out to Cancun.

“This football club has been out of the top flight for a long time and we have got a great chance now of getting back there.”
