CLARETS winger Johann Berg Gudmundsson is confident Burnley can continue to shine against the top six as they turn their attentions to FA Cup action this weekend and a tie against Manchester City.

Gudmundsson's first goal of the season almost earned his side a point against Liverpool last weekend, but for Ragnar Klavan's late winner for the Reds.

Burnley have already drawn at Anfield this season, as well as claiming points at Wembley and Old Trafford and winning at Stamford Bridge.

Their first trip to the Etihad this season ended in a 3-0 defeat but Iceland winger Gudmundsson insists the Clarets are scared of nobody.

"Against every big club we’ve played this season we’ve done really well, we’ve got a lot of points from there," he said.

"We want to keep going and we want to get back to winning ways because we haven’t won in a few matches.

"It shows how far we’ve come as a team, we’re not scared of anybody, we just go out there and play our football and we’ve done really against the top six."

Of the clash with City, Gudmundsson added: "It’s another challenge. We’ll go there and try and play some good football and get to the next round, but we know it’s going to be difficult."
