Nick Pope 7
Solid enough first-half save to deny Quaner, but had very little to do after that, bar a couple of clearances
Phil Bardsley 7
Good defensively and a decent threat going forward as well, finding space down the right-hand side
Kevin Long 7
Close to his first Premier League goal in the first half with a header saved by Lossl. Rarely troubled at the back
Ben Mee 7
Composed and assured on the ball and stepped out of defence to well win possession back
Charlie Taylor 6
Covered well defensively, but seemed hesitant when going forward and reluctant to fire crosses in
Johann Berg Gudmundsson 8 (Man of the Match)
The most creative player on either side. Was at the heart of everything good Burnley did in the first half, included a wonderful jinking run when he should have applied the finish. Confident to run at his full-back and created chances for others.
Jack Cork 6
Not quite producing the consistent levels of performance he was at the start of the season
Steven Defour 8
Read the game well and close on a couple of occasions with a shot wide and a free-kick clipping the wall
Scott Arfield 7
Should have done better with his second half chance but took up some good positions in attack, finding space down the left
Jeff Hendrick 7
Confidence seems to be returning. Lovely link-up with Arfield in build-up to penalty shout
Ashley Barnes 7
Could have squared first half chance for Arfield but gave defence a tough time and held ball up well
Subs
Sam Vokes for Hendrick (73)
Nahki Wells for Barnes (81)
Subs not used: Anders Lindegaard, Matt Lowton, Ashley Westwood, Dean Marney, Jon Walters
