BURNLEY'S record signing Chris Wood impressed the Match of the Day 2 pundits with his goalscoring Premier League debut.

Wood came off the bench to strike a last minute equaliser to earn the Clarets a 1-1 draw against Spurs at Wembley on Sunday afternoon in his first top flight appearance for Sean Dyche's side.

And, speaking on Sunday night's highlights programme former Arsenal defender Martin Keown said: "He was really impressive.

"Burnley, they just keep fighting, they never know when they're finished.

"This guy (Wood) has scored 29 goals since the start of last season. He wants to make those runs in behind.

"I just felt that when he came on he made things happen.

"He is strong and is a good runner. He is confident in front of goal.

"In the build up he wins the header and he wants that ball in behind. What a ball that is from (Robbie) Brady, whether he means it or not, it just dissects everyone. (Kieran) Trippier should drop off and deal with it but there was some improvisation in that finish to plant his foot and bury it into the corner. Boy did he mean that and that was a dagger in the hart of Pochettino."
