CHORLEY aim to turn their 2010 fortunes around at the start of the new Northern Premier League season tomorrow – but they face a tough test to start 2011 with a win as they go to St Annes.
The Windsor Park outfit were kept off the bottom of the table last season only by the Lancashire Colts, who only play 13 games.
But they travel to Vernon Road in confident mood – and with a clean slate from last year.
“We have spoken about last season and moved on,” said captain Andrew Holdsworth. “The players have been training hard, putting in three hour sessions on Saturday afternoons over the past few weeks and we are all looking forward to the season.
“We all want to do well for Chorley and we are all Chorley through and through.”
It is a tough test for Chorley as they face a St Annes outfit including star bowler, Sri Lankan professional Dinuka Hettiarachchi, and former Pakistan Test batsman Atiq uz-Zaman.
