Chorley aim to get back on track in the Northern League tomorrow – and have been boosted by the return of a host of key players for tomorrow after a whole host of first teamers missed last weekend.

The locals, who enjoyed a bright start to the season, lost their crucial top of the table clash with Leyland at Fox Lane last weekend– and their defeat was made even more painful when skipper Andy Holdsworth suffered a hand injury.

And with four more senior players absent, Chorley were left frustrated.

Holdsworth is ready to defy the pain and is in the team for tomorrow’s key clash with Preston at Windsor Park and Billy Smith and Jack Catterall return to the side after missing the derby defeat, their first Northern League loss of the season.

Chorley were also beaten by Walshaw in the Lancashire Cup last weekend to round off a miserable two days.

But they can move up from fifth place with a win against a struggling Preston side who still await the arrival of their professional Bilal Asad.
