TITLE-hunting Chorley have been hit with a hammer blow ahead of tomorrow’s trip to the edge of the Lake District and may be facing up to losing their skipper for the rest of the season.
The second-placed side are definitely without Jack Catterall – and the influential leader could well be out for the rest of the season after suffering a badly dislocated and broken thumb.
Minus Catterall, the Windsor Park outfit are on the road to Kendal tomorrow and need to get back to winning ways if they are to keep alive their hopes of going back to the top of the table.
But they have suffered a dip in form in recent weeks to allow St Annes to overhaul them at the top and will have to be on their mettle when they go to Shap Road.
Kendal are in mid-table but still have the league’s dangerman in the shape of veteran former Nelson professional Terry Hunte, who continues to roll back the years.
