Darwen face a testing trip to Broadwater for their game with Fleetwood.
John Cordingley’s men were beaten by Morecambe at Birch Hall last week but are just seven points behind Chorley ahead of their game with an in-form Fleetwood, who went close to victory at Netherfield last weekend.
But Darwen pro Mohammad Zaman Khan is in decent nick and acted as sub pro for Royton in the Central Lancashire League last Sunday and hit 72 and took 4-53 in his side’s seven-wicket win over his old club Crompton.
Darwen are also in action on Sunday when they face Neston at Birch Hall in the ECB National Club Knock-Out. That game starts at 1.30pm.
