Sir Bobby Charlton will carry the Olympic torch past Old Trafford on Sunday.
Manchester United confirmed the club legend would carry the flame from Water's Reach to the stadium, which is a host venue for the football at London 2012.
Charlton's brother and fellow World Cup winner Jack carried the torch in Newcastle last week.
