BLACKBURN Harriers is 100 years old this year and the club will be celebrating its anniversary with a dinner on Friday, October 15.

There will be invited speakers with Paul Dickinson already confirmed and more to be announced.

Dickinson is one of the best known voices in BBC Sport having been a commentator on track and field for 20 years.

The Harriers will be holding the event at Ewood Park, the home of Blackburn Rovers, and have provisionally booked the Pennants Lounge which holds 200, but have an option for the larger Premier Suite if there is more demand.

That means they need to hear very soon from anyone interested in going.

Club chairman Tony Wood is writing a history of Blackburn Harriers and Athletic Club and it is hoped that the book will be available for sale at the dinner.
