A javelin thrower from Chorley has received a trophy at the Lancashire Sports Awards.
Eloise Manger, of Chorley Athletic Club, was nominated for the Special Recognition Award at the event at the Paradise Club, Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
Eloise, 24, was commended and received a trophy for her input into her sport.
Even though she has a rigorous training schedule she finds time to be a positive role model to young people, volunteering at Chorley Wildcats and Chorley AC.
She is the current Northern Counties Champion, was runner up in the UK County Championships and is ranked 8th in the UK for 2009.
She is currently working hard with her winter training programme, her aim being to achieve the qualifying distance for next year’s Commonwealth Games.
