Laura Finucane helped the Great Britain Team to the bronze medal in the 4x400m relay on the last day of the World University Games in Bangkok.
Running the second leg, the 21-year old Pendle runner ran the fastest split (52.8 seconds) of the four Great Britain athletes, just 75 minutes after finishing sixth in the 800m final.
The team clocked 3:33.70 behind Ukraine and Russia with Kelly Massey, Kadi-Ann Thomas and Faye Harding as Finucane's team mates.
The Games took place in temperatures in the mid-thirties and was an excellent learning experience for both Finucane and her coach John Nuttall who was able to travel with her thanks to a financial contribution from the Kelly Holmes backed support team On Camp with Kelly'.
Finucane said: "The whole trip was an awesome experience, competing in the biggest competition of my sporting career. It gave me a lot of hunger for next season."
