CHORLEY Athletic and Triathlon Club’s under-11s runners produced strong performances in the final Red Rose Cross Country League race at Rossendale.
In tricky conditions Andrew Lilley led the boys team home in seventh.
He was followed by Jack Hughes (15th), Harry Potts (18th), Joe Bowles (26th), Martin Rimmer (37th) and Owen Kellett (49th).
Their efforts ensured the team finished fourth.
The U11s girls team, comprising Amber Boardman (30th), Emily Warren (32nd), Lauren Prince (35th), Isabelle Farran (42nd), Amelia Bowles (47th) and Layla Allton (50th), fought hard to take seventh spot.
The club’s U13s boys team, spearheaded by Jack Wilson (19th), his brother Henry Wilson (36th) and Jacob Hughes (38th), also came seventh.
Caitlin McCarrick (19th) was Chorley’s sole U13s girl to impress. Anya Townsend (63rd), Alison Fowler (64th) and Jane Bowles (65th) came home together as they secured 13th position.
Chorley finished 10th in the men’s standings and were the 10th veteran team overall.
Darren Fishwick (53rd) passed the post first followed by Dave Biddulph (64th), Jonathan Burgess (70th), Bill Beckett (102nd), Paul Wareing (116th), Paul Jackson (146th), Simon Townsend (155th), Michael Hendry (161st), third V60 Barry Chester (173rd) and Martin Quinn (176th).
