Burnley: 44 Bolton: 5
BURNLEY’S battle for survival is almost complete after making it a remarkable four wins on the bounce.
The Holden Road club were bottom of North Lancs One just a month ago successive victories against Trafford, Windermere, Garstang and now Bolton has seem them rise to the relative safety of mid-table.
“We’ve got our injured players back and we’re now playing with consistency,” said coach Simon Finnan. “We are more organised and that has helped us in this winning run.”
Burnley ran in six tries in their biggest win of the season – and it was the fourth match on the trot they had scored 30 points or more.
Flanker Ben Healey crossed for the first try with centre Theo Coleman scoring on his return from long-term injury.
Prop Luka Angelone added a third with Dom Leck slotting over two conversions for a 19-0 half time lead.
Winger Matthew Crowley raced in for a brace and although Burnley slacked off to gift Bolton a try, they finished strongly with captain Nino Angelone (above) scoring a sixth try.
