WHO? Sawley sprint specialist Schofield, 26, a former Clitheroe Royal Grammar School, has been among GB’s elite canoeists since a teenager.
IN THE GB TEAM? The Ribble Valley star is already part of the Olympic canoe/kayak squad, along with partner Liam Heath, in the K1 200m.
MEDAL? Schofield and Heath are genuine medal hopes. They head to London after a superb 2011 which included retaining their European kayak doubles 200m sprint title in Belgrade and finishing second in the World Championships.
