JAY Rodriguez's 19th goal of the season couldn't stop Burnley's unbeaten home run coming to a disappointing end.

The Clarets had not lost in five at Turf Moor ahead of this afternoon's visit of Millwall but fell behind in the 15th minute when Andy Keogh capitalised on a David Edgar error and fired past Lee Grant.

Josh Wright doubled the Londoners' lead with an unstoppable 30-yard volley on the half-hour.

And Burnley's misery was compounded when they lost captain Chris McCann to what appeared to be a hamstring injury six minutes before the break.

Martin Paterson replaced the stricken midfielder, and manager Eddie Howe rang further changes at the start of the second half, with Danny Ings and Brian Easton coming off the bench for Charlie Austin and Keith Treacy as the Clarets took up a 3-4-1-2 formation.

Howe's new-look side carved out more chances after the break, but couldn't convert them, and on loan Spurs striker Harry Kane put the game to bed 20 minutes from time with a tidy finish after breaking the offside trap.

Rodriguez scored from the spot in stoppage time, after Marvin Bartley was tripped by Shane Lowry, but it was nothing more than a consolation.
