ROSSENDALE United manager Derek Egan has stressed the importance of building on their midweek 4-0 win at Goole.

And the Dark Lane chief has urged his players to strive for more clean sheets, after early goals for the opposition in their previous two games gave them a mountain to climb.

"It was pleasing to get a clean sheet at Goole because we've had a habit of conceding in the first 15 minutes of games," said Egan.

"You're going uphill straight away when you do that.

"But, as well as a clean sheet, our end product and finishing was better on Tuesday and it's important that we look to get ourselves on a run from here and build on that win.
