JAMES O'Connor insists Burnley have nothing to fear as they lock horns with Norwich City on Sunday.

The Clarets make the long journey to East Anglia hoping to preserve their unbeaten Championship record in the televised clash.

After slipping to a 3-2 home loss to Southampton last Saturday, Steve Cotterill's men are looking for an immediate return to winning ways.

Midfielder O'Connor admits it won't be easy taking three points at Carrow Road, but reckons the Clarets stand a chance if they repeat their performance of six days ago.

"It was very disappointing results wise," said the Dubliner. "But we can take a lot of positives from our performance and we were unlucky with the result.

"It's another huge challenge for us to go to Norwich but I think it's one that we will definitely be up for and hopefully we can go there and try to get the three points.

"It will be a tough game because Norwich are one of the fancies teams but we are all looking forward to it. We need to go there and keep playing the way we have been."

O'Connor has been praised for recent tigerish displays in midfield and was widely regarded as the best player on the park against the Saints.

The Irishman confessed to being more than satisfied with his own form and the team's progress this season.

The 27-year-old added: "I think with the squad of players which we have here and the manager there is nothing to fear.

"We are set up nicely. It is just about going out there week in, week out and getting a bit of consistency.

"I'm pleased with the last few games but it's still early days so I will just keep working away.

"The team's performances overall have been good, so long may it continue."
