JAY Rodriguez smashed home his 12th goal of the season to give Burnley the edge over Doncaster Rovers at a blustery Turf Moor this afternoon.
The Clarets have been the better side against the South Yorkshire outfit but all they had to show for their territorial domination was a Rodriguez penalty eight minutes before the break.
That was awarded after Chris McCann was impeded by Sam Hird.
Billy Sharp hit the post for Doncaster with a header as his side tried to rally.
