NELSON got their first win of the North West Counties, Divison One season as they saw off the challenge of Formby last night.
New signing, Dave Gray, made his first start for his new club and forced the corner that led to the Blues' first goal in the 62nd minute.
The ball was swung over to the backpost by Craig Bradshaw and Chris Ridehalgh headed the ball home from close range.
Nelson had to wait for their winner and it arrived in the 88th minute when Robbie Smith forced his way through the defence and rammed the ball home.
