JONNY Lang is on track to win the GTC class of the British GT Championship this weekend.

The GTC team title has already been won by Trackspeed after a superb 2006 campaign by the three car Surrey based team and Trackspeed will take the double as one of their drivers is guaranteed to lift the GTC crown.

The class is currently led by Barrowford's Lang and Matt Allison, who jointly hold a five point lead over team mate Ryan Hooker.

In the last round Hooker's co-driver Phil Keen was handed a time penalty by the stewards, which dropped them to 5th in class.

An appeal has been lodged, the outcome of which will be decided before the race.

However Ryan Hooker knows that whatever happens off the track he has to finish ahead of his team mates to stand a chance of winning the title.

The GTC class has been one of the mostly hotly contested in recent years.
