EAST Lancashire skipper Mark Bolton is hoping he doesn’t have to bowl another punishing spell when his side face Burnley at Alexandra Meadows tomorrow – even though he enjoyed being the star last weekend.

Bolton sent down an energy-sapping 23 overs as his side stunned Ramsbottom last Saturday – and his return of 4-47 was a major part of that win.

He couldn’t bowl the following day at Enfield as his side lost and he said: “I enjoyed my stint against Ramsbottom but I paid for it the day after.

“It was a good win against Rammy – but it was disappointing to lose at Enfield and that sums up the season.”

Burnley’s chairman Michael Brown plays in the game in place of Graham Lalor, while at the top of the table leaders Lowerhouse face Rishton.

Skipper Charlie Cottam returns – but Lowerhouse are without all-rounder Jonathan Finch, who is on duty with the ECB.

Accrington are second and host Nelson.

They have Graham Lloyd back in their team but face the lively presence of Derbyshire seamer Steffan Jones in the game.

Jones fills in for Tom Lord’s men as Nelson are without their paid man Luke Woodcock, who is away on international duty.

Third-placed Todmorden host fourth-placed Church in what should be the game of the day, while Ramsbottom welcome back seamer Michael Haslam from a broken finger as they travel to Rawtenstall.

Baxenden pro Babar Naeem stands in for Bacup at Haslingden and Colne are without Matt Wilson (broken finger) as they host Enfield.

Accrington v Nelson

Graham Lloyd returns to the Accrington side in place of Matt Schofield as the league’s second-placed side welcome Nelson to Thorneyholme Road.

Nelson pro Luke Woodcock is still away on duty with New Zealand so the Seedhillites borrow Derbyshire’s all-action seamer Steffan Jones, while Khurram Nazir returns to the side.

Key Man: Graham Lloyd. Verdict: Accrington.

Colne v Enfield

Former skipper Matt Wilson is out for the home side after undergoing an operation on his badly broken finger.

Tayyib Jamil comes in for Saleem Quereshi in the other change to Nigel Rimmer’s line-up.

Enfield are without David Bracewell, Wes Ingham and Keiron Demain with Chris Maudsley, Joe Wrigley and Alex Whittaker coming in.

Key Man: Adam Bracewell. Verdict: Colne.

East Lancs v Burnley

Ben Westhead and Mo Bhada replace David Pearson and Usama Chaudhry for unperedicatable East Lancashire as they welcome Burnley to Alexandra Meadows.

Burnley chairman Michael Brown, who this week retired from first class cricket with Surrey, comes in for Graham Lalor as his side aim to gbounce back from last Sunday’s loss at Rawtenstall.

Key Man: Michael Brown. Verdict: Burnley.

Haslingden v Bacup

Matthew Griffin and Jack Taylor replace Rob Marcroft and Eddie Shah for Haslingden as Graham Knowles men look to recover from their shock defeat at Colne last time out.

Big hitting Baxenden professional Babar Naeem stands in for Bacup, who are otherwise unchanged for the trip to Bentgate.

Key Man: Graham Knowles. Verdict: Haslingden.

Lowerhouse v Rishton

Leaders Lowerhouse are without Jonathan Finch, who is away on duty with the ECB, while Hassan Khan and Matt Marquis are both out and are replaced by skipper Charlie Cottam and veteran Chris Bleazard.

Padiham professional Chris Holt once again stands in for Rishton, who are without Sam Hacking and Shaun Wyse.

They are replaced by Mo Patel and Mark Leathert.

Key Man: Ben Heap. Verdict: Lowerhouse.

Rawtenstall v Ramsbottom

Rawtenstall stick with the same team that beat Burnley last weekend as they welcome Ramsbottom to Bacup Road.

Ramsbottom’s attack is boosted as Michael Haslam returns from a broken finger and Jon Fielding also recalls Rob Read and Dale Gabriel with Tim Le Breton, Andy Hakin and Matty Lees dropping into the seconds.

Key Man: Jon Fielding. Verdict: Rawtenstall.

Todmorden v Church

Freddie Priestley and Lee Pearson replace James Crossley and Oliver Wood in the Todmorden team for the clash with the Worsley Cup finalists at Centre Vale.

Church travel at full strength with pro Saeed Anwar in form and they are unchanged from the side that stunned Ramsbottom last Sunday.

Key Man: Simon Newbitt. Verdict: Todmorden.
