BURNLEY striker Alex MacDonald has been called up to the Scotland Under 21s squad for their home friendly with Norway next month.
The 21-year-old has been named in the 20-man squad for the Vauxhall U21 International Challenge match at St Mirren Park on August 10.
The call-up comes on the back of him scoring three goals in five pre-season friendlies for the Clarets so far.
MacDonald won his first U21 cap in November 2010, in a 3-1 win over Northern Ireland.
