ACCRINGTON Stanley are set to decide the future of a number of their trialists today – as they also look to move into the loan market.

The Reds have had a whole host of players on trial during pre-season, with 10 still with the squad for Tuesday’s 0-0 draw at Marine.

Among those to feature were Burnley youth team products Chris Lynch and Dean Overson as well as Cheshire-based forward Ross Farran, who was training with the Nike Academy in London last year.

Michael Ordish, previously with Celtic and Stockport, also made his second trial appearance.

John Coleman is now ready to make decisions over the future of trialists and is due to sit down with players following training today, knowing that those not earning a deal need to be given time to seek moves elsewhere.

In addition, Coleman is aiming to bring in one or maybe two loan players before the end of the week.

Strikers remain a priority, with the club having only Kurtis Guthrie and Craig Lindfield as potential forward options at the moment.

The Reds have also been keen on a loan deal for Kevin Long for some time after the Burnley centre back spent a spell at the Crown Ground last season.
