KEEPING IN TRIM Francis Jeffers limbers up
FORMER Blackburn Rovers and Everton striker Francis Jeffers was among those put through their paces on Accrington Stanley’s first day of pre-season training yesterday.
Jeffers is a friend of Stanley assistant Jimmy Bell and was invited to training to build up fitness after being released by Motherwell.
Stanley expect the 30-year-old’s wages to be out of their reach unless he is forced to lower his sights later in the summer.
