SHREWSBURY Town are understood to be in talks to sign Accrington Stanley striker Terry Gornell.
Gornell was not at Stanley's first day of pre-season training today with his future still to be decided.
The forward has been offered a two-year deal to remain at Stanley but came close to a move to Inverness Caledonian Thistle earlier this week and is now speaking to Shrewsbury, who signed Reds defender Joe Jacobson yesterday.
Inverness now appear resigned to defeat in their bid to sign Gornell.
